Modern Life is Rubbish

“To be hopeful in bad times is not just foolishly romantic. It is based on the fact that human history is a history not only of cruelty, but also of compassion, sacrifice, courage and kindness… The future is an infinite succession of presents, and to live now as we think human beings should live, in defiance of all that is bad around us, is itself a marvelous victory.” ~ Howard Zinn.

When it's all too late, it's all too late

It's quite a paradox this. History repeats because human nature never changes.

Some people want to change the world to a better place. To change the world to a better place, all or most all, of humanity must change.

An individual alone could never change anything in this world. The strange thing is until the individual changes nothing will ever change. But for an individual to change, he/she must first seek this change inside themselves.

People always think they can change the world outside of themselves. The world outside of ourselves is a reflection of what the majority of us has sown 'in the past'.

Our actions from the past is what is reflected in the world that we're looking at now. And to change the world outside of ourselves is like trying to change that past. It can never happen in the physical world in which our "spirits" are occupying at this very moment.

So, nothing changes and history repeats itself. And in the larger scheme of things, whatever was fated is predestined. In the end, we could only blame fate for what will befall us.
