Modern Life is Rubbish

“To be hopeful in bad times is not just foolishly romantic. It is based on the fact that human history is a history not only of cruelty, but also of compassion, sacrifice, courage and kindness… The future is an infinite succession of presents, and to live now as we think human beings should live, in defiance of all that is bad around us, is itself a marvelous victory.” ~ Howard Zinn.

Nature of Evil - Preamble

Something silly i wrote on another's blog comment quite a long time ago. Came upon this in my writing notes. Not very original though.

What's the difference between "a girl is in love with the guy's money" and "a girl is in love with the guy because of his money"?

Mathematical decription of "A girl is in love with the guy’s money".
There are three "truths":

(1) A girl who's in love with a guy's money is a girl who loves power. Simply put, she needs to have the power to control the guy who has the money, otherwise he can just go find another girl anytime and ditch her.

So, "A girl who's in love with the guy's money" loves both Power AND Money.

(2) Money IS Power and vice versa.

Money = Power or Power = Money.
So we get, "A girl who's in love with the guy's money" = Money x Money = Money2 (ie. 'Money' squared).

(3) And also because "money is the root of all evil".

Mathematically expressed, Money = √ Evil

Therefore: "A girl who's in love with the guy's money" = (√ Evil)2 (the square root of 'Evil' cancels its squared exponent).
Solving the equation we get; "A girl who's in love with the guy's money" = Evil.

And so the conclusion: A girl who's in love the guy's money is Evil. As for "A girl is in love with the guy because of his money"; it's the same thing. Mathematically. Emotions only complicate things.
--------
The light topic aside, there's the understanding that the struggle of good and evil is a daily occupation for many people in the world and one that should not be taken lightly.
